He noted that it is no secret that the Nigerian economy needs to diversify and grow on much more larger scale than it is currently doing if we are to meet our ever growing needs orchestrated by a growing population.
According to him, what the Nigerian entrepreneur truly needs is a platform fo showcase his goods and services and access to credit fr growth and sustainability.
He explains: “This trade fair has provided the platform for networking and showcasing business ideas and opportunities.
“I am quite pleased at the turn out at today’s event and extremely proud of our youth and women who constitute the majorily of the people showcasing their made in Nigeria goods and services at this fair.
“I am happy that the FCT is at the vanguard of our national economic renaissance with the organization of this fair.
“Here in the FCT, we have the FCT One stop Shop designed for the ease of doing business. What this does in essence, is that it eases the stress of the budding enrepreneur by reducing the rigors of setting up a business here in the FCT.
“ I therefore urge all budding business people in the FCT to engage with the Abuja Enterprise Agency and take advantage of the opportunities available to them here in the FCT.”
Earlier in her welcome remarks, President/Founder of Helpline Foundation, Dr. Jumai Ahmadu, had stated that the Expo focuses more on the informal sector and particular attention is given to the less privileged who have talents and innovations but lacked the wherewithal to showcase them.
Ahmadu, who is the convener, revealed that exhibitors were carefully selected, because of the organizers believe in quality and affordability since we are looking forward to Federal Government collaboration through its relevant agencies by sourcing all the producers of quality goods who cannot afford to get a place of their own to a Centre where all the regulatory agencies will be there for quality assurance and viability of the products coming out of these Centres across the county.
