Presidential campaigns: Gov. Ngillari imposes curfew

Ahead of presidential campaign of  the two major contestants of the Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressive Congress, the Adamawa  State government has announce curfew from 8: pm to 6: am


The government in a press release signed by the director public affairs government house, Mr. P.P Elisha and made available to journalists yesterday also declared Wednesday and Thursdays as public holidays in the state to allow smooth conduct of Presidential rallies of the two prominent political parties in Nigeria in the state.

The Presidential rally of the APC was billed to take place on Wednesday while that of the PDP is scheduled to take place on Thursday.

The governor also urged the supporters of the two political parties to observe decorum during the rallies for peace to prevail.


Meanwhile the Bindow Champagne organization has issued a press release informing the public that Major General Mohammadu Buhari’s campaign visit has been postponed in indefinitely.

Meanwhile, Gov  Ngillari has appointed Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Tahir as the Deputy Governor of the state.

The Deputy Governor was sworn in by the state Chief Judge Hon. Ishaya Banu and pledged to be loyal to the state governor in order for the state to move forward.
