The Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, Aliyu Ahmed Tijani has urged heads of traditional institutions in Nasarawa State to always preach messages that would promote peaceful coexistence amongst their subjects in the state.
“This will give the government the strength to deliver the dividends of democracy to your respective domains,” the SSG said.
Tijani made the call when he paid Sallah homage to the father of Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State at his palace in Gudi station of Akwanga Local Government Council of the state.
According to him, “I call on our paramount rulers, district heads and Fulani leaders in the state to live in peace with one another. Educate your subjects on the significance of harmonious co-existence. Without peace, no meaningful development can strive.”
He further appealed to youths in the state to cultivate good habit by keeping away from criminal acts such as robbery, kidnapping and cattle rustling.
“The administration of Governor A.A. Sule is making frantic effort to empower youths through acquisition skills and job creation,” he said.
The SSG also assured the people of the state of the state government’s determination and commitment towards providing all the needed social infrastructures across the 13 local government councils; adding that the recent flagged up of solar street light in Obi and Nasarawa Eggon was one of the cardinal priority of Governor Sule as well as maintained that a lot projects would soon commence.
“Let us give the governor the maximum support collectively.
Nasarawa State is ours. Let us promote unity in order to move the state forward developmentally,” Aliyu added.
In his response, the Sarkin Gudi Chiefdom who is the father of Governor Abdullahi Alhaji.
Sule Bawa applauded the SSG for the visit as well as called on the state government to ensure that the people’s need in terms of social amenities is provided so that they can live comfortably.
