The resuscitated Association of Medical Directors of Federal Polytechnics of Nigeria (AMDFPON) has, during their meeting in Kaduna, elected pro-tem officers.
This was disclosed in a seven point communiqué signed by Senior Executive Officer, Information and Protocol, KPT, Godwin B. Ayegba made available to Peoples Daily in Kaduna.
The Association at the meeting agreed to meet quarterly to deliberate on topical issues and ways to improve Medicare and health care services in member’s institutions.
In his acceptance speech, the protem chairman, Dr. I.O. Audu pledged to move the association forward adding that their re-union has given them voice to address critical issues that affect medical and health related issues in Nigerian Polytechnics.
Kaduna Polytechnic Medical Director, Dr. Ibrahim O. Audu, was unanimously elected as protein Chairman while Dr. S.O. Makinde of Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti emerged as the Secretary. Others are Dr. A. B. Mustafa, Federal Polytechnic Bida, Treasurer and Dr. Dauda E. Ahmed, Federal Polytechnic Auchi, Public Relation Officer (PRO).
