Police begin investigation into death of sex worker in Delta

Delta State Police Command on Wednesday said it has begun Investigation into the death of a commercial sex worker in Abraka Community in the state, warning that those responsible for her death would be brought to justice.
It was gathered that the sex worker identified as Nicky Chinyere Dollars, was said to have been picked up at the popular busy suite hotel Junction, Abraka Community at the weekend by a suspected internet fraudster in his car to an unknown destination where the bubble bursted.
But the Police Commissioner in the state, Hafiz Muhammed Inuwah who confirmed this to Journalists in Asaba, said that Police detectives have commenced Investigation into the death of the sex worker, adding” we have started Investigation and we shall bring those behind her death to arrest soon, the victim is a prostitute and was picked up where she hussles by a suspected internet fraudster who took her home for sexual intercourse services, unfortunately, the sex worker died”.
Sources alleged that the victim may have been used for ritual by the suspected internet fraudster in Abraka Community where at present Yahoo, Yahoo booms.
The Victim’s Colleague, Veronica Nwadiegu who spoke to Journalists in the area said” Nicky was picked up by a guy in his car where all of us dey hussle on Sunday night, and they left after making payments in my presence to her and the following day we waited and we didn’t see her up until now, and we had to report to the police. We believe she has been used for ritual by the guy who took her away that night.”
Although, the Divisional Police Officer,( DPO,) Abraka Police Division, CSP Hassan Jimoh had on Monday said that over twenty suspected Yahoo, Yahoo boys were last March 2020, arrested and arraigned in Court, but the situation in Abraka Community at present portends fear of the unknown, especially in the alleged Operations of internet fraudsters.
