Police arrests two suspects over 7-year old missing girl in Delta

The Police in Isiokolo Community in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta state on Monday arrested two persons over the missing 7-year old girl identified as Ebrovwiyor Lina in the area
Delta state Police Public Relations Officer ( PPRO) DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya who Confirmed this incident to our Correspondent, said that efforts were on top gear to locate the whereabouts of the missing girl, disclosing that the two Suspects arrested: Ogaga Better and Ufine Iboyi would be Charged to Court on Completion of investigation in the matter.
It was gathered that Ebrovwiyor Lina was said to have been missing since June 22, 2020 in her parents’ Compound during nighfall, leaving her parents to have reported to the Police who swung into action to no avail. but DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya who spoke to our Correspondent in Asaba, said the parents were thinking it was a child’s play and to their surprise, Lina was not found and they reported to the police”.
Her mother, Mrs Edith Ebrovwiyor who spoke to our Correspondent said” the issue was reported to Isiokolo Community Vigilante group who swung into action and arrested miss Ufine Iboyi and handed her over to the police at Isiokolo Police Division for further investigation, upon interrogation by the police, she admitted that she took the baby away to where she wanted to sell her” lamenting that up until now the missing daughter was yet to be found.
Also speaking, Ethiope East Local Government Chairman, Mrs Faith Majemite however condemned the act , describing it as the height of man’s inhumanity to man and assured that the council would partner the police to ensure that the missing girl was found.
Meanwhile, the Youth President of Ohoro Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state,Mr Alex Egedegbe who was Kidnapped last Tuesday night in the area, has been released.
The youth president was Kidnapped about 7pm along Ughelli Patani road as the Kidnappers shot sporadically into the air the to scare passersby.
President of Urhobo Progressive Union ( UPU) Youth wing world wide, Mr Efemena Umukoro Confirmed the release of the Victim last Sunday night in Abraka Community, adding” our beloved brother Urhobo brother, Alex Egedegbe has been released from the den of Kidnappers while the police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya also confirmed the release of the victim, but refused to give details of the release.
