Police arrest wanted criminal in Zamfara

The Zamfara state Police Command has announced the arrest of a notorious criminal identified as Safiyanu Shuaibu, a.k.a Keburke, whose name occupied top lists of most wanted criminals by the Police and the state ministry of justice.
In a press statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the state Command, DSP Shehu Muhammad said the suspected criminal was arrested at Yan Mangura area following incessant raids of various hideouts in Gusau and environs.
“He has been a gang leader of dangerous Sara-Suka group terrorizing people in Gusau and its environs whose nefarious activities have rendered many innocent citizens helpless for years”, the statement said.
It further stated that, the state ministry of justice had declared Keburke ‘Wanted’ for committing various forms of crimes capable of preventing innocent people from carrying their expected legitimate activities including peaceful living across the state capital and other areas.
The state Commissioner of Police, CP Kenneth Ebrimson has however, called on the general public to continue giving useful information on any hideout occupied by the members of the dangerous group of Sara-Suka and any other crime association disturbing the peace for timely response.
