Mrs Naomi Golmwen, Management Committee Chairman, Pankshin Local Government of Plateau on Tuesday donated relief materials worth millions of naira to three IDPs camps in Dokpai District.
Our Correspondent reports in Pankshin that a land dispute between Warok Clan and other surrounding clans in Langtang North LGA last two weeks had displaced hundreds of people, who ran into the neighbouring communities in Dokpai District of Pankshin LGA.
A spillover of the clash had left several houses in the about eight communities worth millions of naira razed down leaving the displaced persons (IDPs) taking refuge at three primary schools within Dokpai District.
The LG boss who visited some affected communities within her domain and the IDPs camps, donated reliefs materials including bags of Rice, Maize, Millet, Gari, Palm Oil, Groundnut Oil, Spaggetti, Blankets and Mattresses among others.
Responding, Mr Lango Gwocha, District Heal of Dokpai, told the chairman that when the communal clash occurred, he cautioned his subject at the border areas not to involve themselves in it as they were not concerned.
Gwocha thanked the chairman and the entire council management for the show of concern and love to the IDPs through the visit and donation of the assorted relief materials to them.
