Newly elected Nigeria Football Federation President (NFF), Pinnick Amaju has promised to transform the game in Nigeria. Pinnick said after he took over the mantle of leadership of the Federation from Alhaji Aminu Maigari that there is still a lot of work to be done, but maintained that the new board is capable of making Nigerian football count again.
“I want to say that I have decided alongside my board to transform football in all it’s ramification. My predecessor, Alhaji Aminu Maigari has done well. All we have to do is to build on what his board achieved. We are going to touch on all the aspects of football, because they are all important, “he said.
“We cannot neglect one area and concentrate more on another area. It is going to be a wholesome transformation. The potentials in Nigerian football will aid whatever we want to do. I am optimistic that everything will work out well because the game in country is on the upward march,” he boasted.
The Delta State Sports Commission Chairman also apologised to everyone he must have wronged. “I want to apologise to everyone who felt bad in the way I behaved before this election. Football is a team sport and we should all come together to make Nigerian football great,” he added.
