Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu has disclosed how people he trusted with his football career ended up messing him up just because they want to promote their selfish interest.
The former employee of Israeli club side, Hapoel Be’er Sheva narrated how he trusted someone back in Nigeria after he signed for Almeria in La Liga then but because of their selfish interest for him to play in Belgium, the deal crashed
Ogu who narrated this is series of tweets he made on his twitter early hours of Friday further disclosed how he got a club in Israel after staying in Portugal without getting engaged,
He noted that when he went to Portugal and was without a top club he ended up in Israel where he became king with the help of his brother, Tony Nwakaeme on the field where they won titles together.
“Hi everyone, woke up and I saw 176k people are following me . Bruh I won’t lie, when I was on the street of Surulere, I wouldn’t have believed people will follow me on Twitter or show me love on the street of Lagos whenever they see me. I’m much Grateful to you all I swear,” the former Akwa United players started.
“I know a lot of people are like What’s up with JOHN OGU? Is he done playing? I know a lot of y’all are like chaii (hey) and I love that guy so much . Guy is so passionate for the Super Eagles and so on
“Truth is a lot of people I trusted failed me in my career moving forward. I remembered I trusted someone back here in Nigeria after I signed for Almeria in La Liga then but because of their selfish interest for me to play in Belgium, deal crashed but we moved!!
“(I) Went to Portugal and then I was without a top club then ended up in Israel where I became KING with the help of my brother Tony Nwakaeme on the field where we won titles together. I’m so proud to see him buzzing hard in Turkey and flourishing
“Stayed out without a team for months before a friend helped me to get a deal in Saudi . Moved there and started a new life then came CORONA!! Na wa but see I always believe this life, Na (It is) God (who) get final say for this life. I’m grateful to God for all he has done for me,” he said.
On his next move, Ogu who last played for Al-Adalah Football Club ‎in Saudi Arabia said he is working hard to get back in the field adding that once a deal materialises, he would inform his fans accordingly.
“I’m as hungry as ever to succeed in this life and career God has choosed (Chosen) for me. Market is opened, I’m working so hard to get back on the pitch. When all is done, I shall update you all. Thank you to everyone of the real JOHN OGU’s supporters here. I truly appreciate y’all.
“Once again, happy new year to you all . I love y’all and I pray we all succeed in this year
“Pray for the name John Ogu.”
John Ogu has made 25 appearances for the Super Eagles scoring just once.
