PDP proud of Shema’s stewardship in Katsina, says Mu’azu

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that the party is proud of the achievements of the Katsina state governor, Ibrahim Shema, and proud of his stewardship.

Speaking yesterday in Katsina during the presentation of PDP flags to chairmanship candidates ahead of the August 2nd council elections, Muazu said “There is no governor like Shema in Nigeria. PDP is assuring you that it believes in your work and we know you are a just leader. Justice is on ground for all to see. PDP is proud of you.”

Muazu who spoke through the PDP Vice chairman for North West, Ambassador Ibrahim Kazaure, assured people of Katsina state that a bigger position awaits the governor after the completion of his second and final term by 2015.

The National chairman of PDP stressed that “apart from PDP, there is no any other party, all the rest we call them club” noting that “PDP will continue ruling for the next one hundred years to come”.

Responding, Shema urged people of the state to ensure peaceful election by conducting themselves in an orderly manner and adhering to the guidelines released by Katsina State Independent Electoral Commission.

Shema, who presented the flags to all the party’s chairmanship candidates for the state’s 34 council areas, enjoined them to engage in house to house campaigns and expressed optimism that the ruling PDP will clinch all the seats at the polls.

Meanwhile, the ruling PDP in Katsina has presented membership cards to four members of the Katsina state executive council who joined the party.

These include Jamilu Mamman Danmusa (commissioner of Environment), Husseini Garba Yanmama (information), Tijjani Mabo Zango (Social and Rural Development) and Abdulmumini Aliyu (Commerce) who were all members of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in the state.
