The North-East Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sani Alamin Muhammad, yesterday escaped lunch, as hundreds of irate youths allegedly attacked his Tirwun residence along Maiduguri road, Bauchi, for supporting the endorsement of President Goodluck Jonathan by the party.

It would be recalled that Alamin Sani Muhammad had last week, while briefing journalists in Bauchi, commended the decision of the National working Committee (NWC) of the PDP and that of the Board of trustees of the party in endorsing President Jonathan to run as President in 2015.

Our correspondent gathered that the Youths who were singing anti Jonathan song, threaten to burn down the resident of PDP Chieftain, but for the intervention of armed policemen.

Eyewitness who pleaded to be anonymous said the angry youths were in possession of dangerous weapons, including bow and arrows, sticks and were ready to lynch their target following his recent media statement supporting President Jonathan as the PDP’s sole candidate ahead of 2015 election.

He said the ugly incident took dangerous turn when the youths pounced on the billboards of Muhammad allegedly produced and placed in strategic areas in the state capital by his friends destroyed them in front of his residence.

“The hoodlums told Alamin Sani Mohammad to release to them out of the millions of naira that was allegedly given to him by President Jonathan to get support for PDP” he said.

According to the eye witness, the youths vowed that whoever supports Jonathan in the 2015 election might have to forfeit his life and that of his family or stay outside the state, saying it is time Gen. Muhammadu Buhari must rule the nation.

In his response, Sani Alamin Muhammad, while talking to journalists, expressed dismay over the attitude of some politicians in the state, saying he was contacted through cell phone by the family and he intimidated armed policemen.
