The flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hon. Mohammed Ibwa, has urged the elected politicians to provide purposeful leadership capable of satisfying the aspirations of the electorates.
He also charged the elected politicians to focus on the developmental projects for the benefit of the people who voted them into power.
The PDP candidate who said this in an interview with newsmen at the occasion of the new yam festival of Eze Igbo II of Gwagwalada, Igwe Eric Onah in the area, further pleaded with the political office holders to carry their people along in the affairs of things.
He then said that posterity would judge the political office holders who failed to gear towards the development of their respective communities.
He advised the critics of PDP to be fair in their criticism, pointing out that he would not allow other imposition candidates to intimidate his candidature in the area.
He, therefore, appealed to the elected politicians to shun politics of tribalism and religious bigotry, saying that if he is elected in 2019 general elections as the chairman of the Area Council, he would operate government of participation in the interest of the Masses.
