Frontline politician in Katsina State, Alhaji Nasiru Umar (Chakis) has picked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination form to contest the gubernatorial seat in the state in the February, 2015 general elections.

The aspirant, who collected his nomination form at the PDP secretariat, yesterday, said he is presenting himself for consideration as the candidate of PDP in Katsina State in the forthcoming general elections.

Alhaji Nasiru said if elected as the partys candidate in the forthcoming primary elections, he will draw a line from where the present administration stopped.

While presenting his seven point transformation agenda for the state, Alhaji Nasiru disclosed that he will provide human development that will target public interest as his foremost attention.

He also promised to restore the dignity of the state and local government civil service back to their constitutional responsibilities and schedules.

He said transparency and accountability to state and local government finances will be strictly adhered to, even as he promised to establish chieftaincy affairs commission in the state so as to empower the traditional institution.

The aspirant added that he will partner with the youth and empower women through sustainable participation in governance and assured pensioners and civil servants of prompt payment of the gratuities and pension as at when due.

Nasiru assured the citizens of the state of inclusive governance where decisions will be based on peoples preference.

“I am nobody and I have nobody but Allah. If given the opportunity, I will lead with peoples collective decision” he stated, calling on the people of the state to register and ensure that they collect their voters card so as to vote for change and ensure the state is taken to its destination.
