PDP gets new excos in Jigawa

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Jigawa state chapter held state congress and elected it new executives.
The new executives whom emerged un-opposed are announced by the chairman of the electoral committee Dr Umar Ardo include Alhaji Babandi Ibrahim as new elected state party chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Idris Diginsa as deputy state chairman, Alhaji Idris Ilyas vice chairman I, Idaho Zakari vice chairman II, Mohd Zangi vice chairman III and Isah Bello Gwadayi as State secretary of the party among others.
While speaking after announcement of the winners, the former Jigawa state governor Alhaji Sule Lamido urges the aggrieved members to sheath their swords and join hand with new excos as according to him PDP still remain a one family.
Lamido who described the congress as first phase of the struggle to regain power from the ruling party, urged the new excos to reconcile with aggrieved faction for a better success in the next 2020 general election.
Also making his victory speech, the new elected chairman Alhaji Babandi Ibrahim Gumel promised to treat every party member with justice and transparent as according to him Jigawa people need a better change in the state.
