As political parties prepare for their primaries towards the 2015 general elections,  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Councillors Forum has called on the national leadership of the party to ensure its members attend the forthcoming primaries of the party slated at Calabar, Cross Rivers state.

The Chairman of the Forum, Onogu Collins, who disclosed this yesterday in Abuja ahead of the inaugural Cross River state PDP Councillors forum this weekend at Calabar, said that the 34-member state executive will be headed by Andrew Aleke.

He said the group is expected to pass a vote of confidence on President Goodluck Jonathan at the occasion and also endorse him for another term in office since they believe he has done creditably well.

Speaking on the screening of the over 8000 support groups for President Jonathan re-election bid by his Special Assistant on Political matters, Professor Rufai Alkali, Onogu, who commended his efforts, said the forum wishes to be involved in the screening process of the various support groups.
