“We appreciate your commitment to the unity of our party and we want to come in and make our party one united family. We are aware of your labour for our party and this must not be in vain, that is why I am presenting myself for the office for continuity, we seek your prayers and blessings as party leader”, he said.
In his response, Makarfi wish him success in his campaign and said he will continue to pray for the best candidate to emerge as the National Chairman of the PDP.
The PDP interim chairman disclosed that the NEC will make available the list of delegates for the National Convention very soon to allow time for claims and objections.
At the residence of the immediate past Vice president, Mohammed Namadi Sambo, George commended the leadership skills and contributions of the former Vice President in solving the crisis that rocked the party.
Meanwhile, speaking to journalists, Bode George said he is a grassroots politician tested and trusted.
“I am natural team player, a network builder and a man of sweeping accommodating largeness that will make our great party home to all”, he said.
