The Police Community Relations Committee( PCRC) has sensitized relevant stakeholders to double up their effort by ensuring that the forthcoming local government councils elections schedule for 19 December in Gombe state is peaceful.
Chairman of the occasion, Assistant Inspector General force CID annex Gombe (AIG) Asuquo A. Amba stated this on Monday in Gombe during a one day sensitization workshop organized by the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) on the need to educate stakeholders to conduct a peaceful local government councils elections in the state.
He said the local government councils election which was scheduled to take place on the 19 December 2020 is necessary for stakeholders to avail themselves by giving a level playing ground for the success of the elections.
According to him, the issue of vote buying and used of political thuggery before and after the elections should not be entertained.
The chairman of Police Community Relations Committee( PCRC) in Gombe state and Special Assistant on media to Gombe state governor Kabiru Ibn Mohammed in an interview with Journalists said they found it necessary to organized the workshop by inviting critical stakeholders to rub mind in accordance with the forthcoming local government councils elections where relevant stakeholders including Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) the DSS, Correctional service, Nigeria Army Police force, Civil society organizations the Traditional rulers among others were in attendance.
