Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State on Tuesday inaugurated and presented 99 earth moving equipment, including bulldozers, graders and low beds to all the 33 local government councils in the state to facilitate accessibility to rural areas.
While inaugurating the equipment at the Governor’s Office Car Park, the governor said that the move was aimed at promoting rural integration and development as well as ending the regime of waste of farm produce.
Governor Ajimobi explained that the equipment would enhance movement of farm produce from the hinterland to urban centres, stressing that farm produce were hitherto destroyed due to lack of accessible roads to farmlands.
