From Lawal Sa’idu Funtua, Katsina
National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has stressed that it is too early to judge the party’s performance as it has spent barely four years in power.
He urged Nigerians to renew their contract with the party for another four years to enable it deliver all the campaign promises it made prior to the 2015 general elections.
Oshiomhole was speaking at a grand rally to mark the commencement of the APC 2019 campaign held in Funtua town of Katsina State.
The APC National Chairman noted that already, the party has fulfilled many of its campaign promises, such as the revival of the country’s railways, construction of road networks across the country and improvement in power generation.
He also noted the party’s achievements in Katsina State, particularly the construction and renovation of schools and the restoration of security in troubled parts of the state.
He expressed confidence that the party will place the country on the path to sustainable development if voted for another four years.
While addressing the mammoth crowd of APC supporters, Governor Aminu Bello Masari, pledged that Katsina State will deliver the highest percentage of votes for President Muhammadu Buhari in the forth-coming general elections.
Chairman of the Katsina State APC 2019 campaign committee, Alhaji Mustafa Inuwa, in his speech, said the party will conduct its electioneering campaign by launching the projects it has completed in each Local Government Area of the state.
