Oodua industry comes on stream in Ogun soon – Amosun

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has informed the people of Imeko/Afon local government area of the state that Oodua Investment Company has concluded all arrangement to site a company within the local government area.

Amosun who made the announcement in Imeko; the headquarters of Imeko/Afon local government area of the state while flagging off the on-the-spot assessment tour of all on-going projects in all the 20

Local Government Areas of the state.

The governor said the state government selected the council area following request from the Oodua Investment company to locate a company in one of the 20 local government areas of the State, adding that the State government had commenced work on the cashew plantation located at Afon urging the people to embrace the companies and investors when they begin full operation.

“Let me use this opportunity to appeal to us, don’t let us send them away, it is our land, I can assure you that they will not do whatever they want with our lands, they’ll pay whatever is due and also accommodate landowners in their investment, whatever they do in our areas will remain their forever and one after the other, we will have development, if we send them away others will accommodate them”, Amosun said.

He noted that his administration has laid a solid foundation for the development of the State through massive infrastructural development, improved healthcare delivery, agriculture, industrialisation and provision of affordable and qualitative education.
