In English Premier League, Alex Iwobi grabbed an assist after coming on as a substitute in Everton’s 4-2 win against Brighton and Hove Albion at Goodison Park in Saturday’s Premier League game, Completesports.com reports.
Iwobi who came on for the injured Richarlison, set up James Rodriguez for Everton’s third goal.
Everton went 3-1 up in the 53rd minute as Rodriguez slotted home Iwobi’s left-foot low across.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin continued his impressive goal scoring run as he opened scoring for Everton on 16 minutes.
Brighton were back on level terms thanks to Neal Maupay who equalised four minutes to the end of the first half.
A brace from Rodriguez (52nd, 70th minutes) and Colombian teammate Yerry Mina (45th minute) made it 4-1.
In the 90th minutes Yves Bissouma scored a consolation goal for Brighton to end the game 4-2.
It is now four wins out of four in the Premier League for Everton which place them top on the log in 12 points.
Samuel Chukwueze was in action for Villarreal in La liga as his club Villareal tormented rivals forced Atletico Madrid to a 0-0 draw at the Wanda Metropolitano in Laliga on Saturday
Chukwueze was introduced in the 72nd minute for Paco Alcacer in his fourth Laliga game of the season.
Atletico have now failed to score in their last two Laliga games after they held by newly promoted Huesca.
Villarreal are now second on eight points while Atletico Madrid are in 11th position on five points in the league table.
Meanwhile in Serie A, Nigeria forward Simy Nwankwo was on target but his solitary goal was not enough to save his club Crotone from a 4-1 bashing by Sassuolo in their clash at the MAPEI Stadium
Domenico Berardi opened scoring for Sassuolo in the 19th minute.
Nwankwo restored parity for the visitors from the spot four minutes after the break however, he was booked in the 57th minute for a dangerous tackle.
The loss means that the new comers are yet to record a win in the Italian top flight. have not lost all their three league games this season.
