Oni of Ife lays foundation of agro-allied university

The Oonirisa of Ife kingdom in Ondo state, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has laid the foundation of the Agro-allied University of Cultural Technology and Applied Science in Afin Akoko in Akoko North-West of the state.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the national co-coordinator of the Agro-allied Commodities and Service Producers Nigeria limited, Prof. Queen Hajarat Abike Adeyeye Adegboyega and made available to Peoples Daily on Saturday in Abuja.
Adegboyega said the Oonirisa of Ife kingdom had promised to promote education, Agro-allied/Agriculture, solid/liquid mineral and tourism as well as culture in the state for the benefit of the citizens.
She also said the oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has pledged to contribute his quota towards the development of the state especially the south-western state(s) and the country at large.
She disclosed that the Oonirisa of Ife kingdom who was represented at the foundation laying ceremony commended the founder of the Agro-allied University, Professor Adegboyega for her positive step being taken to establish the university in the state.
In a press statement also, the founder of the University who doubles as the national co-ordinator of the Agro-allied Commodities and Service Producers Nigeria Limited, said she had deemed it necessary to embark on this gigantic project to make Nigeria a virile nation through innovation.
She said: “The Agro-allied University is founded to promote agriculture/Agro-allied entrepreneurship in its practical form meaningfully to enhance the Nigeria’s economy.
Meanwhile, the event was attended by important personalities, stakeholders in education sector as well as the Agro-allied farmers.
