The Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege has congratulated seasoned chartered accountant, business consultant and serial entrepreneur, Joel Onowakpo-Thomas on his birthday.
Onowakpo-Thomas was the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Isoko Federal Constituency in Delta State in the 2019 National Assembly election.
Senator Omo-Agege who doubles as Leader of the APC in the South-South, expressed his felicitation in a personal congratulatory message signed by him.
The lawmaker expressed optimism that many young Nigerians would be further inspired with the story of how Onowakpo-Thomas beat many odds in his life’s journey by rising from a sales boy to becoming a renowned chartered accountant, business consultant and serial entrepreneur.
Omo-Agege noted that he has written his name in gold in both the public and private sectors, having worked in Onothome Ofo Thirlwell & Co., a professional accounting and consultancy outfit, successfully established his own chartered accounting firm, served as Chairman, Isoko South Local Government Council of Delta State and also as the Executive Chairman of the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue among others.
While applauding him for using his positions to add value to his immediate environment and people, he tasked the youth to emulate him.
“Your antecedents are clear attestations to my belief that you still have a lot to offer our state Delta and our country Nigeria.
“I heartily felicitate with you, your family and join your friends, associates and innumerable admirers to celebrate with you on your birthday and wish you good health and greater prosperity in the years ahead,” Omo-Agege said.
