Okowa’s ex- aide distributes 25,000 notebooks to students in rural communities

Students in rural communities in Delta State have benefitted from 25,000 books distributed by Governor Okowa’s former aide on Tuesday.
The donor, Davids Akpobolokemi, a former Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Research, told journalists in Asaba that he was inspired by the spirit of giving, especially in line with the “Smart Agenda “of the Governor, adding that the gesture was a token of encouragement to the students/pupils.
According to him,” the books are to encourage the students/ pupils to study well for their examination, it’s also in line with the”Smart Agenda”of Governor Okowa to give, I will distribute more in the creeks”
In her remarks, headmistress of Oge Primary School in Bomadi community, Mrs Patricia Kennedy, thanked the donor for his gesture, adding that the books would alleviate the suffering of the pupils, especially those whose parents could not afford to buy them notebooks.
Emmanuel Stephen, and Anthony Opukeme, pupil and student respectively, thanked the donor for his kind gesture towards them and urged him to continue to do more.
They said” we extend our appreciation to Davids Akpobolokemi for his kind gesture and a very special way we can appreciate him for what our parents would have been doing, we are grateful to him in all he had done for us.”
