Ogun State House of Assembly yesterday passed into four bills into law From Abiodun Onafuye
Ogun state House of Assembly has passed four bills into law including the road toll bill.
The second bill was Ogun State Anti Stigma Law,2013, A Bill for a law to provide for the prevention of all forms of stigmatization and discrimination and give protection, support and care for all persons living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in Ogun State and for other matters incidental thereto or connected therewith.
The third bill was the Community Development Programme Law; a law to provide for Community Development Programme in Ogun State while the fourth bill was the the Ogun State Lotteries Board Establishment Law, 2013 – a bill for a law for the Establishment of Ogun State Lotteries Board, 2013.
At the plenary yesterday in Abeokuta, the lawmakers after the presentation of the Committees reports of the four bills, collapsed into the Committee of the Whole House, chaired by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Suraju Adekunmbi, where clauses in the bills were vetted and later adopted by the whole house.
The House later moved into the third reading after which the Clerk of the House, Mr. Muyiwa Adenopo, read the bill and the Majority Leader of the House, Israel Jolaoso, representing Ewekoro State Constituency moved the motion for the adoption and each bills were seconded by lawmakers.
