The Managing Director of Aco – Hiteck, an Estate Development Company, Dr Alex Obiechina and other prominent Nigerians have called for emulation of legacies of Prof Ben Nwabueze (SAN).
They also called on government to give him special recognition for his selfless contributions in his field of endeavor.
Obiechina made the call at the 88th birthday celebration of the legal icon in Abuja recently.
According to him, Nwabueze has contributed immensely to the development of the legal profession, having authored about 34 books in different areas of law and also in giving Nigeria and other countries of the world befitting constitutions, saying that he is still doing more, irrespective of his age.
He therefore pointed out the need for a special recognition to be given to him by the government,”Nwabueze was known for his selflessness, as well as one of the foremost constitutional lawyers in Africa.
He opined that for equity to reign in the country, presidency should shift to the South Eastern part of the country in 2023, for the marginalisation of Ndigbo to be stopped.
The chairman of the occasion,Dr Ogbonnaya Onu commended the celebrant for lagacies worth emulation, saying that Nwabueze is a gift to the courntry and thanked God for that.
He also spoke at length on the need to continue to promote unity in the country for the benfit of all.
