Obaseki means well for Edo people, deputy governor tells kinsmen

Edo State deputy Governor, Hon. Philip Shaibu has urged his kinsmen to re-elect the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) in the September 19, Governorship election in the State, Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki for a second term in office
Shaibu who disclosed this during the PDP Governorship campaign rally in Ward 11 in Jettu on Thursday, said that the incumbent Governor of the State means well for the people.
“These election is about you because Edo must move forward and backward never.
“These Governor Godwin Obaseki means well for our people. And the best way to reward him is to support him by voting for PDP on September 19, 2020 Governorship election.
The State Chairman of PDP Governorship campaign Council, Chief Dan Orbih, urged eligible voters in the locality not disappoint the Governor Obaseki and his deputy in the forthcoming poll.
According to Orbih who spoke in Etsako Language, “In the politics of Edo State, the only person that we have from Uzairue is Philip Shaibu.
“Do not disappoint him. Anything that will advance the interest of Jettu and Afemai land, me Dan Orbih is what I stand for.
“Oshiomhole brought Obaseki and Shaibu to us as the best people for Governance in Edo State, he said.
Addressing the party faith, Governor Godwin Obaseki who expressed appreciation for the support, declared that the Governorship election will shape the future of politics in the State.
He promised prompt and regular payment of salaries, gratuities and more attract more development to the area if re-elected.
He said, “I knew that you could honour us this way”, he said.
PDP members and supporters who converged on Azama Primary school on Jettu road, rolled out their drums in honour of the guests.
Our Correspondent reports that town criers had in the previous day, called out members of his kindred to converge on the venue.
