The Adamawa state Police has announced that it will give ransom of financial benefit to any individual or group with useful information that can lead to the arrest of the cattle rustlers that attacked and killed innocent people in Shaforon and Kudomti villages in Numan Local Government Area of the state.
Spokesman of the Command, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje disclosed the development in a mobile phone interview with our correspondent in Yola on Sunday.
Recall that in the early morning of Sunday, there was an attack on the two villages which claimed two lives and left 6 people injured including a military personnel.
DSP Nguroje said the Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr Audu Adamu Wakili after redeployment of anti-riot mobile detachment instructed that those suspected cattle rustlers must be fished out no matter what it takes within the confines of the law.
Nguroje added that the Command has packaged a reasonable amount of money for any one with useful information that leads to the apprehension of those suspected cattle rustlers.
Local sources at the villages said the attackers laid siege on their targets until after 1:00am when they started shooting sporadically in all directions resulting to the gunning down of two villagers and injuring five others while trying to run for their dear lives in fear.
They said normalcy has however, been restored to the affected areas.
