NUJ wants students to join fight against corruption

Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Kaduna State Council, Comrade Adamu Yusuf has challenged the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) leaders to champion the fight against corruption and support the agitation by the labour leaders for thirty thousand naira minimum wage.
He made the call while receiving a Certificate of Credence from the association in Kaduna yesterday
Comrade Adamu Yusuf added that, the fight against corruption is a step in the right direction that will guarantee the future of Nigeria youth.
The occasion organised by the students commemorates with the Students International Day .Speaking earlier, Comrade Isah Abubakar urged the Federal government to fund higher institutions of learning in Nigeria.
He lamented the poor condition of higher institutions in the country where students study under difficult situation adding this calls for serious concern.
Comrade Isah Abubakar therefore appealed to federal and the state governments to increase the budgetary allocation to these institutions.
He said no country in the world would develop without given priority to the educational sector.
In a remark, the Senate President of the association, Comrade Abdulmajeed Oladimeji Oyeniyi of called for more Budgetary allocation to Nigeria Defence Academic, Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria Aviation College Zaria for the interest of Nigerians.
He said proper funding would give opportunity to youths and also keep Nigeria at advantage over other Africa countries .
Comrade Abdulmajeed also advised students to pay more attention to their studies and avoid any vice that may jeopardise their dreams of becoming future leaders.
