The National Universities Commission (NUC) has accredited and approved 37 new courses for the Federal University Dutse (FUD).
The vice chancellor of the university professor Fatima Batoul Mukhtar announced the approval yesterday in a press briefing held at senate building of the University.
She explained that, the approved courses are from both undergraduate and post graduate programmes under the five faculties operating in the school.
According to her, the faculties include faculty of Agriculture, sciences, Arts and Social sciences, management sciences and faculty of computing.
Professor Batoul maintained that, the expansion of the programmes by the NUC in the University will give more opportunities for prospecting student as well as bring more access to education particularly for the university’s neighbouring communities.
The VC then, commended the governing council, management staffs of the federal University Dutse and the entire people of Jigawa state for their maximum support toward the success recorded in the university.
