The President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Mr Otis Oliver Anyaeji, has inaugurated the Kafanchan branch and also conducted the investiture of the branch chairman and the excos.
In a key address at the occasion which held at the Unity Wonderland Hotel Kafanchan, weekend, Mr Anyaeji told the newly inaugurated members of the need to be hard working, geared towards broadening engineering activities in the area that would move the country forward in the next level of development.
While congratulating the Chairman and the new excos, the president urged them to carry all members along and be fair in the discharge of their duties and responsibilities.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Kaduna state branch chairman, Mr Abdulrasheed Babalola, noted that Kafanchan area is blessed with engineers of high repute who have been worthy and contributing to the meaningful development of the society.
He described the occasion as a historic one due to the physical presence of the president, a gesture that will serve as encouragement to members.
The branch chairman advised all engineers in the area to come together to carry out duties in developing the country, “No country in the world will develop without engineers”.
In his acceptance speech, the new chairman Kafanchan branch, engineer Musa Tete, promised to discharge his duties diligently with genuine developmental policies, aimed at taking the branch to greater heights.
In his speech, the Special Guest of Honour, Mr Duchi Gauji, said the society of engineers is a body that brings all engineers in the country under one umbrella geared towards earning relevance within and outside the discharge of their duties. He expressed his confidence that the Kafanchan branch will become one of the best in the country owing to the credible engineers residing in the area.
