The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Babangida Abdullahi Dutsinma has urged officers and men of the Command to be resilient in intelligence gathering.
The Commandant made the call during his maiden address of the personnel of the Command held in Kaduna yesterday.
He explained that the measure has become necessary as a professional way of responding to some security challenges faced in the state.
Dutsinma added that both officers and men must rise and be resilient in intelligence gathering.
The new Commandant who resumed duty in the State on July 22, 2019, disclosed that intelligence is the bedrock of security and all personnel must be involved.
He reiterated that being vigilant and innovative are virtues that must be embraced for the corps to justify the confidence reposed in them by members of the public.
The new state NSCDC helmsman further tasked personnel on punctuality, honesty and transparency, warning that his tenure will not condone indiscipline and any act capable of tarnishing the image of the corps.
He sued for team spirit among all personnel and promised to reward hard work, stressing that disharmony and rancour will not be condoned by his administration.
Redeployed from Sokoto Command where he also served as State Commandant, Dustinma a graduate of Bayero University Kano, has served in no fewer than 11 states of the federation in various capacities including Area Commander, Head of Administration, Registrar College for Peace, Disaster Management and Conflict Resolution, Katsina.
He takes over from Modu Bunu who is promoted to the rank of Assistant Commandant General (ACG) and currently redeployed to NSCDC National Headquarters.
