NREDC-MP to holds one day conference on data collation tomorrow

National Real Estate Data Collation and Management Program (NREDC-MP) in collaboration with Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) ,said it holding a one day conference on lack of relevant data guide for Real Estate sector development in Nigeria .
The conference which is slated for Thursday 27, 2017, will be held in Abuja .
This was contained in a statement signed by the President of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) and Chairman, Steering Committee (NERDC-MP), Surv. (Rev.) Ugochukwu Chime said the focus of the conference was to comprehensively collate and manage data for planning, reconstruction, construction and post construction of the real estate development across the country. “This will include land administration practices, formal and informal housing activities and other key indicators for effective policy and investment decision making.”
The statement maintained that the conference is organized due to the concerted effort to solve the challenges facing Real Estate sector ,that is why the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) initiated a collaborative effort with other stakeholders in the industry to provide a robust and sustainable data base on real estate and allied activities across the country.
He stated that the conference will also showcase the Standard Housing Manual developed by Growth and Empowerment (GEM) Program of the World Bank, with the intent for stakeholders in the housing sector to validate the document.
Those to attended the conference are Commissioners of Land & Housing, Registrars of Deed, Directors of Land, Directors of Town Planning and Surveyor-Generals from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory .
