The frontline aspirant for Anambra gubernatorial election in November 6th on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has said with the development already attracted in the state by Gov. Willie Obiano, Anambra, under his watch, shall be the home of opportunities and an alternative to other emerging states in Nigeria and beyond if elected.
The Professor of economics said this known at Ndiowu in Orumba North local government Area of the state, where he was hosted by the member representing Orumba North in the State House of Assembly, Hon Chief Emeka Aforka, who is also the Deputy Majority Leader.
Speaking at the event, the member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency at the green chambers of the National Assembly, Hon Chief Benjamin C Obidigwe, Akaoma Jide Aku, said Soludo is the best candidate, adding that even the opposition knows that.
Obidigwe, who took the crowd memory lane, maintained that Gov Willie Obiano has left an indelible mark in the history of Anambra state through the timely completion of Anambra International Cargo and Passengers Airport, including other numerous strides.
He however said for the airport to be economically viable, Anambra needs Soludo to transform the state into an industrial hub using the airport as an added advantage.
The event was attended by all the APGA executives in Orumba North and South, who endorsed Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo as their choice for APGA gubernatorial election.
Other dignitaries who also featured at the event included, the special adviser to the Governor of Anambra state on Political Matters, Hon Barr Ifeatu Obiokoye, the State House of Assembly member representing Orumba South, Hon Emma Nwafor.
Others are the House Member Representing Nnewi South 11, Hon Sunny Ozobialu, the State House of Assembly member representing Aguata 11 Constituency, Hon Okechukwu Okoye and the APGA zonal chairman, Anambra South Senatorial District, Hon Barrister Ben Ibekwe, amongst others.
