Northern Govs felicitate with Jonathan at 57

The Chairman Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF) and Niger state governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to maintain pressure despite social, political and economical challenges.

Aliyu made the disclosure in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Israel Ayegba Ebije who congratulated the president on the occasion of his 57 birthday anniversary urging him to continue on the path of ensuring peace, unity and progress of the country.

Governor Aliyu maintained that leading Nigeria has increasingly become a challenging experience on account of decades of bad leadership experience. He added that overtime Nigerians have formed negative perception hunting present day leaders.

He therefore urged President Jonathan to continue on the path of making Nigeria a better place to live, adding that the task of managing peoples negative perception, containing insurgency and providing dividend of democracy is not easy but must be sustained positively to take Nigeria to its desired height.

“For me, age comes with maturity, responsibility and ability to manage challenges. It is therefore instructive to intimate that President Jonathan celebrates his 57 years anniversary is leading a country confronted by social, political and economic challenges. He must therefore be congratulated for maintaining pressure this far.”

“The President must not forget that as Nigeria approaches campaign/election season, the possibility of having competing ethno religious sentiments cannot be wished away with the wave of the hand therefore precautionary measures must be taken to prevent enemy actions from taking precedence over good intention of government for Nigerians”

Aliyu urged Nigerians to join hands with the president, security operatives in the fight against terror. He also urged Nigerians to work towards making the 2015 election violence free
