He stated this while declaring open a two-day conference on security and human rights in northern Nigeria, held in Kaduna yesterday.
Paul Unongo said the elites, who themselves are products of past focused and visionary leaders, turned out to be self-centered, acquiring every available wealth for themselves and their families leaving the masses in abject poverty.
In his own remark, Kaduna state governor, Alhaji Muhktar Ramalan Yero, who was represented by the Secretary to the state government, Alhaji Ishaq Damahawai, said no amount of security personnel can bring peace to any region.
He revealed that the state government has convened dialogue sessions in each of the three senatorial zones in the state, where stakeholders including; traditional rulers, clergy men, youth, women and community leaders all meet to share experience on all the causes of conflict in their communities while also suggesting ways to forestall future occurrence.
