The Pipeline Right of Way Surveillance Providers Forum has appealed to the management of Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC) to immediately intervene and settle the salaries and entitlements of all the community guards covering from Koton Karfe to Kaduna axis
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Chairman and his Secretary of the Forum, Alhaji Ibrahim Salihu and made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
The statement stated that the community guards workers are owed by MRS OIL & GAS twenty one month salary arrears which resulted in the workers facing untold hardship.
It further added that, series of letters of complaint have been written to the management of the NNPC since last year with a view to look into their problems and solve the issue, but, yet nothing has been done in such regards.
The Pipelines Right of Way Surveillance Providers say they will not relent their efforts to seek their right through meaningful and rightful means and as such appealed to NNPC to come to their aid and put smile on the faces of the workers.
According to the statement, the management of NNPC can address this problem immediately as continued delay of payment can kill the morale and zeal of guards men.
The group therefore hoped that positive interventions will be taken by the NNPC.
It wondered as to why some of their colleagues from Warri axis have been settled but, Koton Karfe to Kaduna axis workers has not been paid for almost two years.
