The Assistant General Manager, Head Corporate strategy and research, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr. Vincent Olatunji, has said that the agency was prepared to hand over all the incubations centers across the federation to NGos that will manage the centers well with professionalism.
Speaking at the digital bridge institutes where Nitda organized a training for all its ICT reporters in abuja. He said that the need to hand over the centers to NGO was informed by the poor state of management of the centers by the states and the local government in the country.
According to him, the centers where dead because most of the centers where poorly managed and facilities vandalised.
He explained that after Nitda paid for bandwith for one year for the yourths to learn the rudiments of ICT, after the year expires the whole thing was abandoned and the centers becomes the shadow of its former self, adding that the need to hand over is to enhanced accurate management of the centers so as to boost the use of ICT to youths in the country.
He also said thta Nitda is working hard to boost the use of e-gov.ng to the people and as well encourage the used to ministries and government officials in the country.
