NITDA moves to degitalize Jigawa capital

As part of its effort to promote degital activities in Jigawa state capital, the National Information and Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has constructed a community ICT centre in Dutse the Jigawa state capital.
The move was announced by the director general of NITDA Alhaji Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi while speaking to journalists during his visit to the centre.
He explained that, the centre will promote latest degital services including degital literacy, training, and would help citizens to have easy access to government services.
According to him, the centre will also serve as JAMB registration centre, National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) centre as well as centre for degital brainstorming to Jigawa citizens.
Kashifu also said, as world economy turn to degital competition, the centre will equally provide degital job opportunities to young generation in the state.
The DG who said so far NITDA constructed four similar degital centres in the state, added that the centre have the capacity of sixty computers, e-learning and visual facilities with solar renewable energy and internet services available.
He said, NITDA will soon hand over the centre to state government or donating it to community or any other non governmental organisations.
