The Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC) had pledged to ensure effective and efficient transport and maritime system in Niger state as well as support service ability to compete in the global economy.
Mrs Ify Okolue, the Zonal Director, North Central Zone of the NSC, disclosed this during the election validation and inauguration of new executive committee members of the Niger state chapter of shippers association in Minna on Friday.
The shipper’s associations are a non-profit cooperative that negotiates and manage transportation services on behalf of its members.
She commended the Niger state chapter of the shippers association for establishing contacts with relevant government organs to revamp export trade in the state.
