The President, Ohaneze Nd’Igbo in the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Augustine Amaechi, has said that Nigerian’s dwindling economy has over time demanded the input of a president from the South east.
He stated this at the reception organised for the newly elected President General Ohaneze Nd’Igbo Worldwide, Prof George Obiozor in Abuja yesterday .
He said apart from restructuring, we have been calling for a Nigerian president from the south east.
His words: “We have been successful in our business and we will be we successful in governance of this country too”.
“Others have tried their best but we believe that,we have all it takes to transform this country, just like Dubai and other developed countries of the world,Because of the wonders Nd’Igbo are doing in Aba, they are being referred to as the Japan of Africa”.
Amaechi pointed out that “When we are united in Nigeria, we will all contribute to its development.
Speaking on the crises in Ohaneze in the north, especially in Abuja the FCT, Barr Amaechi said that they have not only ordered that the case be withdrawn from court, but also set up a committee that would settle the matter.
He also appreciated the five south east governors, well meaning Nd’Igbo, private business owner for their contributions and support to the south east .
Also speaking on the Igbo presidency, Prof Obiozor called for equity and justice to producing presidents in Nigeria.
Obiozor therefore said that the beginning of putting equity and justice into practice will start from producing president from the south eastern part of the country.
