The Chairman of Council of Yoruba Obas and Chiefs in the northern Nigeria and Abuja, Ambassador Mohammed Arigbabuwo has said what Nigeria needs at the moment are prayers to move the country forward and not agitation for secession .
He stated this in a press statement made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
According to the monarch, the hate speech in the country today is as a result of dissatisfaction with many things but the best way out of this is prayer not hate speech
In view of this he called on all Yorubas at home and in Diaspora to pray for all Nigerian leaders especially President Muhammadu Buhari and his vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo .
“I am also calling for prayer for our Yoruba leaders like Chief Olusegun Obasanjo ,Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Bisi Akande and Senate President Bukola Saraki .
“ They are leaders God has bestowed on us and people respect us as Yoruba because of their contribution to the nation. So we need to keep praying for them for God Guidance.
“There is also need to pray for our security agents who are laying down their lives in order to keep us safe, “ he said
Ambassador Mohammed Arigbabuwo further said dialogue remain the best way to solve any issue in the country, he therefore called on all to trend the part of peace because it is the indices for development, stability and success.
