The Executive Chairman of Tafa Local Government area in Niger state, Hon. Ibrahim Mami Ijah, has called on the residents of the area to continue to live in peace with one another irrespective of political, tribal and religious inclinations as the newly elected councillor representing zuma west ward, Juliana Ibrahim was sworn-in.
He said no meaningful development could be achieved in the atmosphere of rancor and acrimony, urging the residents to always embrace one another for the sake of peace and togetherness.
Mami Ijah, who made the call while speaking with peoples Daily correspondent after the swearing-in ceremony, also charged the councillor to carry the people of her ward along in the scheme of things.
He further called on the councillor not to celebrate unnecessarily, saying that politics is a game of luck, and wished the councillor a successful tenure.
Ijah said he would continue to partner with the lawmakers to move the Tafa Local Government to a greater height in terms of provision of basic necessities of life for the residents.
However, the inauguration of the councillor which took place in the council was attended by the political office holders, APC members/supporters, business moguls, religious leaders and security agents among other personalities.
