The Niger State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP have descended heavily on its deputy chairman Alhaji Aminu Yussuf by handing him an indefinite suspension from the party.
The decision to suspend Alhaji Aminu Yussuf was taken at an emergency
meeting of the State Working Committee (SWC) held at the party Secretariat in Minna.
This was contained in a statement issued by the State Secretary of the Party Alhaji Abdullahi Santali announcing the suspension that the embattled deputy chairman was found guilty of all the allegations brought against him by the Wushishi local government area of the party and the Niger North Senatorial district.
Santali in the statement said the State Working Committee found Aminu Yussuf guilty of “gross misconduct, anti party activities and engaging in conducts unbecoming of a party executive”.
According to the statement Alhaji Aminu Yussuf was also suspended from office to allow for investigations of complaints against him while the complaints against him have been referred to the disciplinary Committee of the party for investigation.
The Secretary reminded all its members that “ no member is above the law and that every member should strive to adhere to the rules and regulations of the party with a view to improving its fortunes in the state”
Unconfirmed reports revealed that the suspended PDP big wig was allegedly planning to dump the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress APC.
