The Emir of Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State, Alhaji Umar Bago III, has crowned the Amana Kakanda (Village Head) of Muye community, Alhaji Abdulkadir Muhammed Maigari II.
The crowning ceremony took place on the 4th of January, 2020,
In demonstration of their excitement over the coronation of Amana Kakanda Muye by the Emir of Lapai, the people thronged the arena in their thousands to honour their own.
In an interview with news men at the oocassion, the chairman central working committee, retired real admiral Ndatsu Ibrahim Dirisu who was the chairman of the oocassion, urged the people of Muye community to continue to live in peace.
He also pleaded with the people of Muye community to co-operate and support their chief for the overall development of the community.
He said:”Anybody who does not respect the leadership, God will disgrace that person. So, we believe that the way to go now is to co-operate and work together so that Muye people will succeed”.
Dirisu, who is the Marara of Muye community, said the coronation of Amana Kakanda would improve the economic status of Muye community.
On his part, the Amana Kakanda Muye, however, thanked the entire people who graced the occassion.
The colourful occasion was attended by the traditional rulers as well as important government dignitaries within and outside the Niger state.
During the ceremony, the chairman /Chief Executive Director of Blue print newspapers, Mohammed Idris alongside the President of Nupe Social Development Association in the FCT, Alhaji Abubakar Jibrin Maku were among the twenty-six people honoured with the traditional titles by Amana Kakanda.
