Two female pilgrims from Niger state died in Saudi Arabia where they went to perform this year’s hajj in the kingdom.
It was gathered that the two female pilgrims died after a brief illnesses in both Madina and Makka city few days ago.
The names of the pilgrims were pasted on a notice board at their hotel in Makka city yesterday. Their names were given as Khadija Alhaji Ndagi from Bida Local Government Area of the state who died atMadina while Khadija Muhammad Badiko died in Makka city on 28 OF September.
Confirming the deaths of the pilgrims the State’ s , Permanent Commissioner Pilgrims commission, Alhaji Saifullahi Haruna said their belongings would be taken back home to their relatives.
According to him they have since being buried according to Islamic rites as he tasked the state pilgrims to also pray for the stability of Nigeria.
‘ yes we lose two of our pilgrims one in Madina the other in Makka and they died after a brief illness. They have been buried and God willing their belonging would be taken home to their relatives,’ he said.
In another development, a female pilgrims also found a lost Basic Travel Allowance (BTA) belonging to a pilgrims from Suleja Local Government Area of the state. She was said to have handed ober the complete money to the state officials who assured her that the real owner of the money would be found as they thanked her for job well done.
