Niger gov. orders reinforcement of security in Gurara Falls, environs

The Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello of has ordered for the re-enforcement of Gurara division of the Nigerian Police Force to enable them perform efficiently especially providing security around the Gurara Waterfalls.
He gave the charge when he had a stop over at the Gurara Waterfalls in Gurara Local Government Area of the state.
The Governor however, described the waterfall as a great asset for the state and an avenue for Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, said there was the need to safeguard the site for optimal tourist attractions.
He directed the division be given and additional communication gadgets and functional vehicle to enable them take full patrol of the area ad required
Governor Bello also ordered that a structure be erected at the Gurara waterfall’s junction to serve as an accommodation to those on duty especially when it is raining or sunny.
The Governor further gave directive that a five thousand hectres of land will be acquired for the conservation of Natural Resources along the water fall.
In same vein, the Governor therefore instructed the permanent secretary ministry of environmental to recruit 30 youth within the environment to safeguard the environment of the waterfall and that land compensation should be made with immediate effect.
Bello also paid an unscheduled visit to the to IBB Specialize Hospital Minna where he rub mind with the patients and their relatives. He sympathised with them and prayed Allah to grant them quick recovery.
He said his administration will continue to remain committed towards the well-being of the citizens especially in the area of health and security.
Governor Bello advised that all health facility environments in the state should be keep clean at all times. He said health is wealth as such his government cannot afford to toy with it.
