Niger gov. appoints special advisers, GM

The Niger State governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has approved the appointment of Alhaji Abubakar Idris Azozo and Barrister Rabiu Adamu Pan-Uku as the Special Adviser, Political Zone ‘B’ to the Governor of Niger State and Special Adviser, Government House Counsel respectively.
This was contained in a statement issued by Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane who said that the appointment of the Special Advisers to the challenging positions is based on merit, proven credentials, personal integrity and outstanding record of performance in their previous assignments.
The SSG reminded Hon. Idris Azozo and Barrister Adamu Pan-Uku of the policy direction of the present administration which is to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Niger State and urged them to work diligently towards achieving this noble objective.
The Secretary to the State Government stressed that the Special Advisers are expected to bring their knowledge, skills and wealth of experience to bear in the performance of their new assignment by working assiduously to justify the confidence reposed in them.
In same vein, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has approved the appointment of Habib Abdulkadir as the new General Manager, Niger State Environment Protection Agency (NISEPA).
The SSG stressed that the new General Manager is expected to bring his knowledge, skills and wealth of experience to bear in the performance of his new assignments by working assiduously to justify the confidence reposed in him.
The Secretary to the State Government enjoined the new General Manager to formulate, initiate and implement policies and programmes for effective performance of the Agency, ensure a cleaner State Capital and effective removal of wastes across the 25 Local Government Areas and create strategies to improve revenue generation drive of the Agency among several others.
