The Executive Director of Gboze Driving school in Suleja local government area of Niger state, Pastor (Mrs) Audrey Mike, has been conferred with the distinguished “Visionary Icon” award by the management of the Orator Communications limited, publishers of the orator weekly newspaper based in Niger state and Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Conferring the award on the Executive Director at the premises of the school on Tuesday, the Managing Editor of the Orator weekly newspaper, Mr Nasir Oseni, said the Executive Director was honoured based on the structures she put in place in the school.
He pointed out that the leadership of the Orator weekly newspaper would continue to award those who have been contributing their quota towards the development of the society positively.
“Many people need an award but few deserve it. However there is a need to be extremely careful so that the award would not be conferred on men and women of questionable characters as the world has turned to a state whereby everybody is an actor, and ability to fish out the good ones become difficult, but through thorough investigations”, Oseni said.
Responding, the awardee of the day, Pastor Audrey mike, said the management of the Gboze Driving School would continue to teach the drivers on the basic rules and regulations guiding the school.
However, Mr Aremu Oluwasanjo who addressed the gathering on behalf of recipient thanked the Orator Communications limited for the honour done to them.
The VIO as well as NSCDC graced the occasion among other guests.
